Suicide Prevention Chronic Pain

Suicide Prevention Chronic Pain

I had the privilege of meeting Chaplain (Major) Kenneth Koon this week. Major Koons primary responsibility is suicide prevention, having helped a staggering 24,000+ soldiers since returning to service a few years ago. Chaplain Koon has also shared his personal story of bouncing back from numerous devastating circumstances which add to his knowledge and wisdom to make a difference. Furthermore, Major Koon and I agreed that it takes a community of different yet like-minded professionals to help veterans, their families and society. Remember, you are special. Please, if you have thoughts of harming yourself or taking your life call someone first, get help. Remember, you are special. You are one of God’s children and you have a purpose, just like me.  Best, Ines
